The Santa Clara Group presents its innovative and sustainable solutions for Brazilian agriculture, during the Andav 2024 Congress, scheduled between August 6th and 8th, at the Transamérica Expo Center, in São Paulo.
The highlight is the launch of a solution from Inflora Biociência, a company that is part of the Group and is focused on research and production of exclusive technologies in the area of biodefensive products. Exclusiv is a highly efficient bionematicicide for controlling soil nematodes. The product is easy to apply, promoting greater sustainability and productivity in crops.
The launch of Inflora Biociência seeks to meet a demand from national agribusiness, as nematodes cause a lot of damage to crops. The Brazilian Society of Nematology (SBN) estimated that, in less than 10 years, rural producers' losses could reach R$870 billion due to attacks by these worms, if nematode control conditions remain as they are.
“The development of this solution aims to help minimize this serious problem in crops, which tends to increase if there is no adequate preventive management and good incidence control. Inflora Biociência is always attentive to the most relevant issues for rural producers, which is why it will continue to invest in research and innovation to promote the sustainable growth of the entire sector”, highlights the executive marketing manager of the Santa Clara Group, Otávio Mamede.
The Santa Clara Group invests over 8% of its gross revenue in Research & Development, practically double the sector average, and has partnerships with approximately 40 public and private research institutions, resulting in the production of its own technologies and new solutions for support agriculture in Brazil and abroad.
According to a survey by FarmTrak Bioinsumos, from the Kynetec consultancy, the Brazilian bioinputs market generated US$827 million in the 2022/23 harvest, with emphasis on the advance in the use of biodefenses, which grew to 4% of the total transactions verified in the plant defense sector. Bionematicides achieved sales of US$291 million.
Mamede states that the Andav Congress is a strategic event for the Santa Clara Group, as it presents trends and brings together the country's main distributors, who know the reality of the countryside, and the opportunities and challenges of rural producers. The fair is expected to receive 13,5 participants.
With four pavilions and more than 24 thousand square meters of exhibition space, the 13th edition of the Andav Congress is holding its largest edition, bringing even more space for new trends, technologies and connections, with the participation of 250 exhibiting brands.
