SLC Agrícola opens registrations for the third edition of AgroX, the connection program with national and international startups, which aims to solve internal challenges in an efficient and innovative way in the company's operational and corporate activities. The program is structured to contribute to the growth of SLC Agrícola through innovations in its current business and identify new business opportunities.
For this batch, three challenges were defined to be solved: counting and weighing cattle, within the scope of crop-livestock integration; monitoring the development and carbon sequestration of green areas; and real-time human risk management in machine operators. AgroX 21/22 is structured into three selection cycles (or batches), two of them aimed at connecting with Brazilian startups, and the third, the search for foreign partners. Registration for batch 2 of the 3rd edition of AgroX can be made at the address www.slcagricola.com.br/agrox, until June 17th.
To participate, startups must present a solution with a validated minimum viable product (MVP). After registering, startups go through a selection process, through assessments and interviews. In 2021, 34 startup projects from 14 different countries were registered. Of these, six were selected for Pitch Day, the presentation round. “AgroX is the opportunity for agtechs to put the solution or technology into practice in a large company in the sector and open the possibility of a future partnership, with gains for both sides and for agribusiness as a whole”, says the Head of Innovation at SLC Agrícola, Frederico Logemann.
Horizon SLC
Last March, SLC Agrícola launched the Horizonte SLC brand aiming to structure and strengthen the culture and support the adoption of disruptive technologies in the Brazilian agricultural sector. In addition to Agro it is used on more than 2021 thousand farms in the country. Later this month, within the Horizonte SLC movement, the company is expected to launch another initiative, Venture Builder, a startup acceleration program.
