SLC Agrícola launches Horizonte SLC to mark the movement of innovation in agribusiness

SLC Agrícola launches its new Horizonte SLC brand, which brings together all of the company's innovation initiatives. The objective is to strengthen the culture of innovation and the adoption of disruptive technologies in the Brazilian agricultural sector, encouraging and inspiring the entire company to enhance its growth mindset.
The new brand was presented during the 2022 Public Meeting, in which the company's 2021 results were announced, which was attended by the Head of Innovation at SLC Agrícola, Frederico Logemann. The logo reinforces one of the main pillars that have always guided SLC Agrícola's work, the importance of the land, the customer and offering the best products. Born in the city of Horizontina (RS), SLC Agrícola presents Horizonte SLC as a showcase of innovation.
Frederico Logemann considers that the brand reinforces the company's purpose of being the protagonist of a more prosperous, fertile and powerful future and represents an intention to look to the future and be attentive to opportunities. “Horizon SLC is a movement that expresses everything we believe in. That it is possible to positively impact future generations, being a world leader in efficiency in the agricultural business and respecting the planet. We are an important connection to bring new solutions to SLC Agrícola’s daily challenges and to undertake new businesses aimed at the evolution of agribusiness,” he stated.
“It is a landmark day for SLC Agrícola, with the launch of the brand focused exclusively on the innovation movement. We already have a reference position in this field and we believe that Horizonte SLC is the milestone of a new phase of the company and of new perspectives and opportunities in agribusiness”, stated the CEO of SLC Agrícola, Aurélio Pavinato.
Innovation at SLC
SLC Agrícola develops several initiatives to encourage innovation in agriculture. One of them is the Ideas and Results program, with a focus on intrapreneurship, dedicated to employees at Headquarters and Farms to bring operational efficiency and spread a culture of innovation. The initiative already has two editions (2020 and 2021), involving more than 900 people, generating more than 320 ideas aimed at digital transformation and incremental innovations within the company.
Another prominent program, now under the umbrella of the Horizonte SLC brand, is AgroX, focused on Open Innovation. Through partnerships with startups, the initiative promotes the resolution of internal operational challenges in the corporate, commercial and new business areas. The program is in its 3rd edition.
Also in 2021, the company launched AgroX Global, a program that involves research into the international market for solutions to two major challenges that have not yet been identified on national soil.
“In general numbers, we have more than 40 innovation initiatives originating from the programs and internal demands of the areas, and being managed in our portfolio. Our proposal is to grow more and more”, added Frederico.
