The “Luiz de Queiroz” Higher School of Agriculture (USP/ESALQ) will host, between the 2nd and 4th of February, the XXXIX São Paulo Congress of Phytopathology. The event is promoted annually by the Associação Paulista de Phytopathologia (APF) in partnership with Research Institutions and Universities of the State of São Paulo and aims to bring together teaching, research and extension professionals, undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as of professionals from the input, equipment, agricultural pesticides, software, farmers and laboratory products industries.
On the occasion, scientific and technological advances in the area of plant diseases will be addressed, there will be a presentation on the formation of working groups and discussion on new topics of research and innovation in phytopathology. It will be a space to disseminate knowledge in the area and will feature the participation of technicians from production chains, enabling integration between research, teaching and innovation to guarantee the growth of agribusiness.
The congress, which this year is being organized by employees and students from the Department of Phytopathology and Nematology at ESALQ, will take place in the University's Classroom Center, in the Amphitheater of the Engineering Pavilion and in the Professor Salim Simão Amphitheater.
