The deadline established for submitting the Cancro/HLB (Greening) report ended last Monday, January 15th, and, according to data from the computerized Animal and Plant Management system (Gevade) of the Agricultural Defense Coordination (CDA ) from the Secretariat of Agriculture and Supply (SAA), 96,6% of producers in the State have already reported the results of inspections carried out in their orchards during the 2nd half of 2023. In total, 10.330 reports and around 214,9 millions of plants were inspected. Of these, more than two million were eradicated with greening symptoms.

From now on, Agricultural Defense will contact defaulters to regularize the situation of their property. “The producer can still deliver the report for the 2nd half of 2023 until March 31st and, if necessary, this same deadline can be used to rectify the information provided”, comments Alexandre Paloschi, agronomist and director of the Department of Health Defense and Plant Inspection (DDSIV).

“The delivery of the report by the producer is essential for planning plant health defense actions aimed at maintaining the health of the citrus sector”, adds the director.

All procedures are carried out via the Gevade system and in case of any doubt or difficulty, the producer must contact the Regional CDA that serves the municipality in which his property is located.
