The 2025 coffee harvest in the state of São Paulo is expected to reach 5,5 million processed bags, according to projections from the Economic Department of the Federation of Agriculture and Livestock of the State of São Paulo (Faesp). The volume represents a growth of 1,3% compared to the previous cycle.

The area in production is estimated at 196 thousand hectares, an increase of 5,3%. The area in formation, referring to crops still in the initial phase of development, suffered a strong reduction: 2,24 thousand hectares, a drop of 81,5%.

More regular rainfall since October 2024 has favored fruit formation, despite the influence of negative bienniality. As a result, average productivity should be 28,1 bags per hectare, a drop of 3,8% compared to the previous cycle, but below the initially expected decline.

In the national scenario, coffee production in 2025 is estimated at 55,67 million processed bags, an increase of 2,7%. If confirmed, it will be the largest harvest recorded in a year of negative biennial production, driven mainly by the performance of conilon.
