São Paulo's soybean harvest is expected to reach a record in 2025/26.

Projections for the grain harvest in the state of São Paulo indicate an increase in cultivated area and average crop productivity, which favors expectations for a record harvest of 12,14 million tons. This data is included in the "Monthly Grain Harvest Monitoring Report" from the Federation of Agriculture and Livestock of the State of São Paulo (Faesp) for this month.

The report, prepared by the Economic Department of Faesp, is based on data from the National Supply Company (Conab). One of the highlights is soybeans, which are expected to reach record production in the state of São Paulo and also in the harvest of this grain throughout the country.

Despite the expected 1,2% reduction in productivity, production is projected at 5,37 million tons, a result 1,7% higher than that recorded in 2024/25, which had already set a state record. Other items with good performance are peanuts, with an estimated production of 1,03 million tons, an increase of 11,6%; and corn, with a projected production of 4,58 million tons, an increase of 4,1%.

National grain production is expected to reach a new record harvest of 360,1 million tons, representing a 2,2% increase compared to the previous cycle. Average crop yields and cultivated area have both increased. Soybeans stand out, with a 5,3% increase in production, reaching a record volume of 180,6 million tons.

Corn is performing well, benefiting from favorable weather conditions in the main producing regions and expectations of more attractive prices, but estimates for the third crop have fallen due to reduced rainfall in the main producing regions. Total production is expected to grow by 0,4%, reaching 141,7 million tons.
