According to Monthly GDP data presented by Fundação Seade, the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of agribusiness in the state of São Paulo grew 11,4% in the first two months of 2024 compared to the same period of the previous year. The industry and service sectors also registered an increase in the period, 3,7% and 2,6%, respectively.

“Agribusiness in São Paulo has a lot of strength and the sector’s exceptional results show that the State Government is on the right path in supporting and facilitating the lives of those who undertake and transform reality in the countryside. In the same way, industry and services in São Paulo are also growing because we have state policies to facilitate taxes, reduce bureaucracy and support the generation of jobs, income and opportunities”, said governor Tarcísio de Freitas.

With the good performance of all sectors, São Paulo's GDP increased by 3,5% in the period. In the monthly comparison – February 2024 with the same month last year, the growth was even greater – 3,8%, already discounting seasonal effects. In the last 12 months, the increase was 1%.
