The high dollar, external valuations and the retraction of sellers raised Robusta coffee prices in Brazil in October. In the accumulated result for that month, the CEPEA/ESALQ Indicator for Robusta type 6, sieve 13 above, rose 4,41%, closing at R$ 413,82/60 kg bag on 30/10 – this Tuesday, 4 November, closed at R$ 405,62/sc.

According to Cepea researchers, Brazilian agents are paying attention to the rainy weather in Vietnam, which has been delaying the harvest of the 2020/21 harvest, which, in turn, was scheduled to start between the end of October and the beginning of November. Furthermore, the passage of a typhoon in Vietnam and its possible impacts on production in the 2020/21 season also worries local coffee growers. Therefore, the new Vietnamese coffees may only reach the market from the end of this month.
