The increase in the external price of Robusta coffee and the greater presence of Brazilian industry agents in the spot market are boosting prices for the variety this month, according to data from Cepea.

Between July 29th and August 23rd, the CEPEA/ESALQ Indicator for Robusta type 6 sieve 13 accumulated an increase of 3,68%, closing at R$ 741,71/sc of 60 kg this Tuesday, 23rd.

According to Cepea researchers, the increase in demand for Robusta is linked to the high level of commercialization of Arabica, which led industries to change coffee blends this year, with an increase in the percentage of Robusta.
