The 19th Climate and Fire Risk Bulletin, released by the Secretariat of Environment and Water Resources (Semarh), revealed a significant increase in the levels of rivers in Tocantins compared to the same period last year. Among the highlights, the Paranã River reached 7,59 meters, compared to 4,00 meters recorded in 2024. The Palmas River reached 5,51 meters (3,07 meters in 2024), and the Santa Tereza River marked 5,22 meters, compared to 4,21 meters the previous year.

The document, which analyzes data collected between January 9 and 11, also presented information on weather conditions. In the North Region, precipitation was 117 mm, while the Central and South Regions recorded 120,3 mm and 75,2 mm, respectively. Relative humidity varied between 88% and 91%, and average temperatures were around 25°C.

Another positive fact was the absence of fires during the period, attributed to the increase in rainfall. Air quality also remained within the standards established by the Ministry of the Environment.

The bulletin, prepared by the Center for Geographic Intelligence in Environmental Management (Cigma), reaffirms its role as a strategic tool in climate monitoring and in the management of water and environmental resources in the state.
