The forecast for the next four days in Rio Grande do Sul will be marked by the return of stable weather until the weekend. This is what is indicated by the Integrated Agrometeorological Bulletin 40/2024, from the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock, Sustainable Production and Irrigation (Seapi), in partnership with Emater/RS and the Rio Grande do Sul Rice Institute (Irga).

Friday (4/10): The migratory anticyclone is expected to move towards the ocean, although changes in the atmospheric configuration at medium and high levels over the region in question are modest. Therefore, there will still be a chance of fog occurring near Laguna dos Patos and Lagoa Mirim at dawn. In general, the weather is expected to remain stable, with milder temperatures being observed throughout the day.

Saturday (5/10) e Sunday (6/10): the ridge at high and medium levels should intensify and keep the migratory anticyclone, on the surface, stagnant near the Río de la Plata. Therefore, the weather should remain stable and pleasant, with higher temperatures being observed in relation to the last few days.

Monday (7/10): With the approach of a cyclonic vortex associated with a trough (elongated area of low pressure) at high and medium levels in the west of the Andes Mountains, a pre-frontal trough on the surface should form between Paraguay and Rio Grande do Sul. In this context, there will be a probability of fog over the Central Region, the Missões Region and the Northwest Region. During the day, temperatures should be milder.

Tuesday (8/10): As the cyclonic vortex moves over the interior of Argentina together with the upper and mid-level trough, the surface system from the previous day will intensify, causing light to moderate rainfall in part of the Western Border Region, the Missions Region, part of the Central Region, the Northwest Region and part of the North Region. Temperatures are expected to drop slightly in most regions and, as this system approaches, stronger oceanic winds from the northeast quadrant may be observed over the South Region.

Wednesday (9/10): The cyclonic vortex linked to the high and mid-level trough, which is expected to be located between Argentina and Uruguay, will give rise to a cold front on the surface that will cause moderate rainfall over the regions of the Western Border and part of the Missões Region. Temperatures are expected to continue to decline slightly due to the intensity of the winds coming from the ocean from the northeast quadrant along the entire coast of Rio Grande do Sul.

Forecasts indicate light to moderate rainfall in the northern half of the state, with lower volumes along the coast. Rainfall is expected to vary from 2 mm in the Central Region, increasing progressively towards the North, where it may reach up to 50 mm in isolated areas.
