Grão Direto, a Latin American digital grain trading platform, has announced a strategic partnership with Rio Branco, a fuel distribution company. The collaboration aims to offer producers the possibility of purchasing fuel and paying in grains, through the Grão Direto platform's 'Barter Fácil' solution.

The innovation enhances more agile service by sales teams and facilitates all harvest and second-season planning for producers, as fuel is essential for operations throughout the year, from soil preparation, planting and application of pesticides, to irrigation and harvesting.

The platform's versatility stands out by offering companies' sales teams the ability to evaluate exchange variables in detail, promoting more informed and efficient negotiations. José Carlos Mazetto (pictured, left), "leader" of Sales and Corporate Solutions at Grão Direto, comments: "With Barter Fácil, Rio Branco and its partners can carry out exchange operations more efficiently, ensuring equivalent value and transparency at each stage of the process.”

The difference will be the integration of the platform with the "Clicou Fechou" solution, also from Grão Direto, which, in partnership with trading companies, provides customized prices for the grain and derivatives market (soybean meal, oil, husks and others) updated in real time. With this price availability, Rio Branco's sales team can calculate, within the "Barter Fácil" platform, the exchange ratio for producers registered on "Clicou Fechou" and Rio Branco's customers, ensuring more precise and efficient operations.

In addition, Rio Branco consultants will register the total value of the order on the “Barter Fácil” platform, setting deadline parameters for the producer to lock in the grains. The highlight is that the producer will have a fully digital journey to lock in the grains, using Grão Direto solutions. This allows him to monitor the update of his exchange ratio in real time and choose the best time to lock in the grains.

Fabrício Macedo (pictured, right), Administrative and Financial Director of Rio Branco, emphasizes the importance of fuel in the production chain and that an agile and efficient purchasing and delivery process is essential. By combining the efficiency of the platform with the logistics and quality of Rio Branco's products, Barter Fácil users will have a lot to gain.

“The integration of our operations with Grão Direto’s solutions is yet another advantage we offer producers, including fuel in the barter process, which is already familiar to them but rarely used with fuel. By allowing them to choose their products as a form of payment and also the flexibility to lock in the price of their grains, we significantly expand business opportunities. Furthermore, the ability to calculate exchange parity in real time offers our customers increasingly better service,” he says.
