Paddy rice prices started November firm, as shown by data from Cepea. This scenario is linked to greater domestic demand and has been observed despite the low pace of effective business in recent days – as producers are resilient.
From October 31st to November 8th, the CEPEA/IRGA-RS paddy rice indicator (58% whole grains, with cash payment) rose 1,4%, ending at R$ 81,28/sc of 50 kg on the 8th.
Exports
Shipments of Brazilian rice in husk reached record volume and revenue in October/22, considering the entire Secex historical series, which began in 1997. According to the Secretariat, Brazil exported 387 thousand tons of the cereal, surpassing the highest volume of the series so far, of 316,24 thousand tons, recorded in June 2020.
Revenue, in turn, totaled a record US$122,54 million in October this year.
