Capital of Agribusiness, Ribeirão Preto will have its first open innovation program dedicated exclusively to companies in the agro production chain in 2023. Poliniza will last a total of five months and will be a hybrid format, with face-to-face activities at Dabi Business Park, in Ribeirão Preto and online meetings to monitor activities. Up to ten startups will be selected.

“What characterizes open innovation in companies is searching for solutions and new products in the market, not depending exclusively on the efforts of their internal teams. Therefore, the result is to effectively generate business between the supporting companies, which propose the challenges, and the agtechs", explains Alexandre Castro, head of innovation at QuikDev, a platform specialized in innovation management, responsible for the operation of Poliniza.

Poliniza is in the phase of defining the challenges for startups across Brazil that operate in agribusiness. Interested parties can now pre-register on the hotsite http://poliniza.tech. There will be two months for attracting and selecting startups and another three months for the acceleration program, including the beginning of proofs of concept.

“Dabi Business Park has the mission to connect people, companies and ideas. An open innovation program for Agro in a national hub of convergence in the sector has high potential to attract excellent ideas and highly qualified teams", explains Eduardo Brondi, manager of the Business Center.

Ribeirão AgTech Day

As part of the activation of the program, Poliniza, in partnership with Arara Seed, an equity crowdfunding platform specialized in agtech and foodtech, will hold on March 1st, starting at 16pm, at Dabi Business Park, Ribeirão AgTech Day, a day of panels and lectures with startups, market professionals and researchers in the field about the universe of innovation in agribusiness, trends and success stories. Camila Guimarães, Latam Leader at Kynetec consultancy and Henrique Galvani, Co-founder at Arara Seed, are confirmed, in addition to more than 5 agtechs to carry out pitches.

Poliniza is an innovation program created to serve agricultural companies. It is carried out by Pedra Agroindustrial S/A and Unaerp and has the support of Dabi Business Park and TreeSales. The operation and design are by QuikDev, an end-to-end innovation management platform.
