Technology advances more and more in the field every day. Robotics, sensors, algorithms, electrical and remote drives are already part of the routine of many producers, even more so when we talk about Precision Agriculture, which is the path to greater production, increased profits and efficiency. Faced with so much innovation, there is a new trend among resellers and distributors who are moving into the technology area and specializing in the subject to add value to their services, but above all to make the most modern and advanced products available to farmers on the market.

According to Wellington Casati, sales manager at J.Assy, old dealers that have been in the market for a long time specialize in selling machines, but many of them have difficulty when it comes to technology. “J.Assy is involved in agricultural technological development, which is why we are always looking for new partners with this innovative profile who are entering this market, and this is a very big trend in all regions of Brazil”, he highlights.

Within this new resale profile, they gave up the old method of just selling equipment. Now, many of them are true arms of companies and work with specific products that add value and that mainly change the distribution and quality of planting. According to Casati, there are some resellers that continue to focus on selling machines, however they have already started to migrate, creating internal sectors focused solely on technology. “Resellers with this technological profile are the ideal partners for us and also for other innovation companies”, he highlights.

Structured partnership

For resellers to bring to producers the full potential of the technologies available in their products, J.Assy carries out technical, theoretical and practical training on all its solutions with the distributor partner's team. In addition, they also participate and promote field days with interested parties.

Another strategy adopted by the company this year, focused mainly on technology-focused resellers, was to take these professionals to see its entire development structure, ranging from the factory, laboratories to the Research & Development centers. “The idea with this project is precisely to present trust, to show these partners all of our solutions and their innovations in development. It is also important to highlight that we will not abandon our old partners and that the doors are always open to them, as they are also very important to us”, reinforces the manager.

Specialized service

For Casati, the growth of resellers focused on technology will add even more to agriculture, as they have a different profile compared to traditional resellers. One of its differences is having technical staff prepared to provide service and support in the field, in addition to selling the products.

According to the manager, this movement is spreading across several regions of Brazil. “Our products are increasingly technological, so it is essential that producers, through specialized and trained resellers, have access to and make the best use of our solutions”, he adds.

Currently, J.Assy offers state-of-the-art solutions such as the Visum fertilizer flow sensor. This product was developed to provide farmers with the best experience in monitoring the flow of inputs, being completely wireless and with high precision.

Other highlights of the company are the seed dosers with electric drives. One of them is Selenium Electric which replaces the mechanical drive assembly. The other highlight is the Titanium Elétric which guarantees uniform rotation of the disc and all control is done through the display installed in the tractor cabin. “To make all these technologies available and present in the best possible way to producers, we are increasingly looking for specialized resellers”, concludes Casati.
