According to the latest analysis from the Edenred Ticket Log Price Index (IPTL), a survey that consolidates the price behavior of transactions at gas stations, providing an accurate average, regular diesel became more expensive in October compared to September, reaching an average price of R$ 6,19, an increase of 0,32%. Meanwhile, S-10 diesel had an average price of R$ 6,21, the same value recorded in September.

“The price of regular diesel saw a slight increase in October, while S-10 remained stable. Despite the slight increase, the market shows signs of stabilization after a first half of the year marked by more abrupt variations. Diesel continues to be the fuel with the greatest weight in transportation costs, which means that any price movement has a direct impact on the entire logistics chain,” analyzes Renato Mascarenhas, Supply Network Director at Edenred Mobilidade.

In the individual analysis of each region of the country in October, the South stood out as the only region to register a decrease for regular diesel, of 0,17% (R$ 5,98), in addition to the largest decrease among regions for S-10 diesel, of 0,33% (R$ 6,02). The average prices in the region were the lowest in the country during the period for both types of diesel.

The highest prices for regular diesel and S-10 diesel in the country in October were recorded in the North, where they cost, on average, R$ 6,76 (+0,75%) and R$ 6,57 (-0,30%), respectively.

The North region showed the largest increase for regular diesel, at 0,75% (R$ 6,76), while the Central-West region was the only one where S-10 diesel became more expensive during the period, with an average cost of R$ 6,34 (+0,16%).

In its state-by-state survey, IPTL found that the highest average price for regular diesel in October was recorded in Acre, at R$ 7,54 (-0,66%). Paraná appears as the state where drivers found the cheapest regular diesel in October: at an average of R$ 5,94 (-0,67%). The fuel had its biggest drop in the month recorded in Santa Catarina, at 1,15%, being sold, on average, for R$ 6,01.

Regarding S-10 diesel, the highest average price recorded in October was also in Acre: R$ 7,48 (stable).
