According to the latest analysis of the Edenred Ticket Log Price Index (IPTL), a survey that consolidates the price behavior of gas station transactions and provides a precise average, regular diesel saw its average price increase by 0,32% in the first half of October, compared to the average recorded in the same period of the previous month. With the increase, the average fuel price reached R$6,19.

In the same period, S-10 diesel was sold, on average, for R$6,21, remaining stable compared to the first half of September.

"Regular diesel prices began October with a slight increase, reflecting specific market adjustments and regional differences in distribution costs. Meanwhile, the S-10 type remained stable, supported by more consistent demand and a market that is less subject to fluctuations," analyzes Renato Mascarenhas, Supply Network Director at Edenred Mobilidade.

In the analysis by region, one of the highlights was the Central-West, which recorded the highest increases for both types of diesel in the first half of October. Regular diesel became 0,81% more expensive in the region (R$6,26) compared to the first half of September, while S-10 saw a 0,16% increase (R$6,34).

The South region stood out for the biggest drops and the lowest averages of the period: regular diesel had an average price of R$5,98 in the region, a drop of 0,17%, while S-10 was 0,33% cheaper, costing R$6,02.

The highest average prices continued in the North: R$6,76 for the common (+0,75%) and R$6,58 for the S-10 (-0,15%).

In the state-by-state analysis, Acre continued to be the highlight of the first half of October. Despite a 1,05% drop, regular diesel reached R$7,52 in the state and remained the most expensive in Brazil, as did S-10 diesel, which maintained an average price of R$7,49, the same average recorded in the first half of September. The largest reduction for regular diesel in the country occurred in Alagoas, where the average price fell 2,05%, reaching R$6,21. The largest drop for S-10 diesel occurred in Amazonas: 2,38%, bringing the fuel down to an average price of R$6,55 in the state.

The lowest average price for regular diesel was recorded at gas stations in Paraná: R$5,94, after a 0,67% drop compared to the first half of September.

The most affordable averages for the S-10 were in Pernambuco and Paraná, both at R$5,96. In Pernambuco, there was a 0,68% increase, while in Paraná there was a 0,83% drop for the fuel.

It's also worth noting that the largest increase in regular diesel was recorded in Rio Grande do Norte. In the state, the fuel rose 2,67%, bringing the average price to R$6,15. S-10 saw its largest increase, 0,76%, in Rondônia, where the average price reached R$6,64.
