Until the morning of this Wednesday (12), the Secretariat of Family Agriculture and Cooperatives of the Ministry of Agriculture received proposals sent by Educational Institutions in Minas Gerais, Rondônia, Alagoas, Mato Grosso, Pernambuco, Paraíba and Goiás. The results were announced The qualification analysis is scheduled for August 25th. The final result of the notice should be announced on October 2nd.
The projects approved in the notice must promote the insertion of residents in the areas of agricultural sciences and related areas in the real work environment, through practical, guided and supervised training, providing the development of knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for professional practice.
R$17,1 million will be allocated to finance the selected proposals for a period of two years. The projects may provide for scholarship costs for residents of secondary-level technical courses, worth R$900, and higher-level courses, worth R$1.200. Residents' working hours will be 40 hours per week.
Another possibility is the funding of a scholarship for a mentor teacher, which will correspond to the value of R$200 per mentor. Each professor must guide between five and 10 residents, therefore, the scholarship can vary from R$1 to R$2.
The proposals may also include costs for the participation of residents, supervising professors, technical advisors and occasional collaborators in meetings, workshops, seminars, congresses and the like, as well as current general funding expenses for carrying out the activities. These cannot exceed 20% of the total value of the project presented by the educational institution.
For carrying out activities, resident units are considered to be farms or production units, agribusiness companies, cooperatives, technical assistance companies (national or international), direct and indirect administration and organized civil society.
The Ministry of Agriculture prepared the AgroResdiência Operations Manual to guide and assist those interested in participating. The document presents guidelines and criteria for participation, recommendations regarding coordination and management, as well as general information about the program.
Coordinated by the Secretariat of Family Agriculture and Cooperatives of Mapa, through the Department of Community Development, AgroResidência was established by Ordinance no. 193 / 2020 e is intended to support the training of professionals with the necessary skills to fully work in the areas of agricultural sciences and related areas.
The Secretary of Family Agriculture and Cooperatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fernando Schwanke, highlights that the program aims, in addition to professional training for these young people, to bring them back to rural areas.
