Registration deadline for the Mais Integridade Seal 2023/24 ends on June 2nd

Award recognizes agricultural companies and cooperatives that adopt practices of integrity, social, environmental and ethical responsibility

Registration to participate in the sixth award of the Selo Mais Integridade 2023/2024 is now open and can be made until June 2, 2023. Companies and agribusiness cooperatives located in the country, dedicated to agricultural and fishing practices of any kind, can register. nature. Registration can be done on the Mapa website.

The Seal recognizes organizations that adopt integrity practices with a focus on social responsibility, environmental sustainability and ethics.

The regulations for the Mais Integridade Seal 2023/2024 (Mapa Ordinance No. 542, of December 28, 2022), aligned with the practice of ESG - Environmental, Social and Governance (Environmental, Social and Governance, in Portuguese), advanced on topics related to the protection of personal data, risk management, environmental sustainability and agendas relating to transparency and anti-corruption in the agroindustry , led by the UN Global Compact in Brazil, a partner of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) in the composition of the Management Committee of the aforementioned Seal.

The current regulation also provides for all interested parties competing for the “Yellow Seal” to present how they are contributing or planning to contribute to the decarbonization of their processes, systems or agricultural production chains.

In the last edition, 27 organizations were awarded, with 11 receiving the award for the first time, represented by the Green Seal, and 16 achieving certificate renewal, represented by the Yellow Seal.

About the More Integrity Seal

To receive the seal for the first time, the company or cooperative must prove that it has a compliance program, code of ethics and conduct, effective reporting channels, actions focused on social and environmental responsibility and promote training to improve organizational culture.

It is also necessary to be up to date with labor obligations and not have fines related to the subject in the last four years, not have cases of adulteration or falsification of processes and products inspected by the Secretariat of Agricultural Defense of Mapa, have actions of good agricultural practices included in the United Nations Sustainable Development goals and not having committed environmental crimes (in the last 24 months).

Interested parties' documentation is analyzed by the Seal Management Committee, made up of representatives from public and private institutions, which grants the award.
