The week of November 5-11 was marked by diverse weather conditions in Paraná, influencing the development and harvest of several crops. Although the rains favored some crops, they interrupted the harvest process in others, while the rise in temperatures brought additional challenges to agricultural production in the state. The information is from the state's Department of Agriculture and Supply.

Most of the areas of wheat was harvested before the rains. Technicians considered productivity to be good compared to the previous harvest. However, the rains interrupted work in some regions, but the outlook remains optimistic among producers.

Now for the barley, the interruption also occurred due to rainfall, but productivity and quality in the last harvested areas showed improvement.

In the harvest of fruits, such as oranges, the average yield was below expectations due to difficulties in controlling pests and diseases, and the lack of rain in previous years, which resulted in a lower supply of the product and its value in the market. Summer crops, including grapes, guava, watermelon and pineapple, also had their harvests interrupted by weather conditions.

Developing cultures

Bean and corn crops are in advanced stages of growth. bean, in the flowering and fruiting phase, has good production potential. corn, which continues in vegetative development, had a favorable growth, although the application of pesticides was partially interrupted by the rains.

A soybean, in turn, benefited from the rains, with some crops resuming growth after periods of water deficit. However, specific erosion problems were recorded in recently planted areas.

O café is in the flowering and fruiting phase, with producers motivated by good market prices, compensating for the reduction in production in previous harvests.
