Credenz® soybean seeds complete 10 years in Brazil
Since its first year of production in 2014, the brand's successful trajectory has been distinguished by the integration of research, genetic development and strategic production with high quality.
Soybean cultivation in Rio Grande do Sul presents significant advances in the 2023/2024 harvest, with 68% of crops in the grain filling phase and 8% in maturation. Emater/RS records improvements after increased rainfall in February, with soybean production expected to exceed 22 million tons, an increase of 71,52% compared to the previous year. The area cultivated with soy grew 0,35%, reaching 6.681.716 hectares. On the other hand, corn cultivation faces a reduction in cultivated area and climate challenges, with 70% of the harvest already harvested. Beetroot, in Feliz, and onion, in Pelotas, show different production and commercialization scenarios, with beetroot in harvest and onion in the off-season.
In detailing soybeans, the improvement in weather conditions in February played a crucial role in the development of crops. The Southeast region, however, faced drought, negatively impacting some areas. Expodireto Cotrijal was the stage for the presentation of new production estimates, reflecting producers' optimism with increased productivity.
In relation to corn, the 2023/2024 harvest suffered from excessive rain in the spring, affecting the quality and quantity of production. The area allocated to corn decreased, with producers opting to reallocate part of the cultivation to other crops. Still, the corn harvest continues, despite the weather challenges that continue to affect some crops.
In beet cultivation, the practice of staggered cultivation in Feliz allows continuous production, without reports of significant phytosanitary problems. The price of a kilo of beet varies between R$3,50 and R$4,00, indicating a stable market for producers.
Finally, onions face an off-season in the Pelotas region, with stocks still available for sale. Current prices suggest a possible upward trend, reflecting supply and demand dynamics in the market.
