The machines used in the field are true allies for the rural producer. In this way, reviewing agricultural machinery increases crop productivity and maintains the durability of products that were acquired with effort. After all, having a scare due to a broken machine in the field that could be avoided with periodic inspection will result in expenses that will increase production costs.

Therefore, preventive maintenance avoids these setbacks and reduces these expenses. In addition to the financial aspect, preventive inspections are also directly linked to the safety of the operation and the operator himself, essential points for the good functioning of the rural property.

Agritech's Sales/Marketing coordinator, Cesar Roberto Guimarães de Oliveira reinforces that preventive maintenance is very important because it avoids unexpected breakdowns, especially during the harvest period, avoiding losses to the producer. “In addition, keeping the machine up to date extends the useful life of the machines and significantly reduces maintenance costs and gains in productivity”, comments Guimarães.

Periodic Maintenance in the Instruction Manual

Guimarães also reinforces the importance of, when purchasing an agricultural machine, it is important to read the user manual to know the main information about the equipment that will be used.

Agritech, a pioneer in the Brazilian industry in manufacturing machines aimed especially at family farming, offers its customers a table of Periodic Maintenance in the Instruction Manual, which must be carried out daily and are of great importance for the longevity of the machine, such as: inspect the engine coolant level, engine lubricating oil level, drain the fuel oil decanter, check the transmission and front axle oil level, check the air filter restriction indicator, check the calibration of tires, safety when operating the tractor and use of PPE. When these actions are neglected by the machine owner, they cause premature wear of the tractor's main components.

It is worth noting that, if the deadline stipulated for the factory inspection of the machines expires, the parts and products will lose their warranty, if any compensation needs to be made during the inspections.

Many tractor owners still have some resistance when it comes to sending their machines for inspection, as they believe that there is no problem in working with equipment whose lubricants and components have expired. “We always advise our clients to carry out revisions within the stipulated periods. We emphasize that this reduces maintenance expenses and improves the use of machines, increasing agricultural production and the useful life of the equipment”, highlights the Sales Coordinator at Agritech.
