The annual survey of the incidence of greening carried out by Fundecitrus showed that the disease grew in the citrus belt last year, going from 22,37% in 2021 to 24,42% in 2022. This growth of 9,16% is a warning that greening control is carried out adequately and rigorously by all producers.

One of the most important factors in combating greening is to carry out chemical control of the psyllid correctly. Product rotation is essential to avoid the selection of individuals resistant to applications of a particular insecticide.

The recommendation is to rotate insecticides with at least three different modes of action, without sequential product applications.

Fundecitrus provides a material to assist in performing the rotation, the Insecticide rotation guide for psyllid control 2022, which presents products that can be used, identified by mode of action, chemical group, active ingredient and registered name, following the latest ProteCitrus update, in addition to recommending doses and periods of use.
