Benefits of the nozzle control system in sprayers
With a focus on reducing waste, greater efficiency and savings, users of technology in the field seek to increase production and quality in the application.
Focused on improving processes in order to make the Cachoeirinha farm, in Caiapônia, Goiás, more efficient, the operational manager, Elsio Ricardo Valini, always has an eye on new technologies. Today, it has a very diversified production, a business model that has been adopted on many farms in order to minimize market impacts and fluctuations.
The farm annually cultivates 6,5 hectares of soybeans and 4 hectares of off-season corn. In addition, it also produces 2 thousand hectares of off-season beans, 500 hectares of cotton and 1.500 hectares of irrigated seed corn. With so much work on the farm, he chose to renew the implements he already had on the property. To be more efficient, he recently acquired a high-load capacity distributor from MP Agro, the Taurus Robust.
Even after just a few days on the farm, the equipment has already proven that the producer's choice was assertive. In the distribution of fertilizer alone, the implement provided savings of almost 50% in operating time when applying the input per hectare.
Previously, the distributor used to apply solid inputs had a capacity of ten tons, but as the producer explains, it depends on the input, limestone for example, the maximum was 6,5 thousand kilos. Now with the acquisition, this capacity has increased to 13 thousand kilos with fertilizer. “We doubled the capacity and the result can now be seen in the field, the Taurus Robust with a single load had a yield of 37ha, which resulted in 17ha more than the previous average for the property”, highlights Valini.
The Taurus Robust was designed to combine high load capacity, high performance, durability and technology. The equipment line consists of three load capacity models, 20.000kg, 25.000kg and 30.000 kg. This type of implement is mainly recommended for those who want to save on hours/machine, since as highlighted by Douglas Peccin, the company's CEO, its high load capacity and robustness allow the distributor to work much longer and have to carry out less loading stops.
This is exactly what the producer from Goiás proved, according to him he gained more autonomy and reduced costs with diesel, labor and time. “We doubled the capacity, while one goes there and supplies, Taurus Robust plays twice as much. We saved at least one trip on compost. We are still going to use it with limestone and other materials to be able to evaluate it, since, as the dealer explained, performance varies depending on the density of what is being applied”, highlights the operational manager.
