Priscila Camara Leal Carvalho de Souza, a professional with 26 years of experience at BASF, recently took over as senior vice president of BASF in South America. With a career marked by challenges and innovation, she highlighted her enthusiasm for starting this new phase, mentioning the importance of leading a team that she considers “incredible”. She replaces Manfredo Rübens, who retired after 33 years dedicated to the company.
Priscila began her career as a trainee at the company and has built a career in several areas, including sales, innovation projects and business leadership. She has held strategic positions such as director of performance chemicals, director of mobile emissions catalysts and chemicals, as well as other management positions in fuel and lubricant solutions. Most recently, she served as vice president of care chemicals. Her experience spans both the Brazilian and international markets, with stints in Germany in roles focused on business development and innovation control.
She holds a degree in chemical engineering from Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado and an MBA in business management from Fundação Instituto de Administração (FIA). Throughout her career, she has consolidated a leadership profile focused on results and developing sustainable solutions for various sectors.
Priscila's appointment to this position marks the continuation of her long career at BASF and the strengthening of female leadership in strategic positions within the company. The executive also highlighted her gratitude to the leaders and teams with whom she has worked over the years, highlighting the support she has received throughout her journey.
