Postdoctoral scholarship in acarology at Instituto Biológico

A postdoctoral opportunity with a FAPESP scholarship is available in the project "Institutional Research Development Plan (PDIp): modernization and adaptation of strategic multi-user units at the Biological Institute”. The application deadline is April 3, 2020.

The project activities will be carried out at the Acarology Laboratory of the Biological Institute, in Campinas. The postdoctoral fellow will participate in the subproject “Mechanisms (biochemical and molecular) of interaction between predatory mites, pest mites and host plants, with an emphasis on citrus and coffee trees”.

The candidate must have completed his doctorate less than seven years ago in areas related to acarology. Requirements for the position include: experience with creation and performance in bioassays with predatory and phytophagous mites; good knowledge of mite bioecology; mastery of molecular biology techniques applied to acarology; and scientific publication in an international journal.
