Focusing on services, Dominus Soli was created in 2014, by partners Antônio Loures and Marco Antônio Lino, a pioneering company developing solutions focused on planning and monitoring aerial application services for agrochemicals. Subsequently, aiming at a constantly growing market, the company created Spray Plan, state-of-the-art software that quantifies and qualifies the operation and also plans and monitors the entire application process, with maximum precision, providing control, productivity and optimization. in aerial applications of agricultural inputs. This improves its effectiveness by up to 20% when spraying the area correctly.

Dominus Soli's flight promises to be even greater now that the startup is part of the portfolio of NovoAgro Ventures, a CVB (corporate venture builder), founded by FAEMG (Fedação de Agricultura e Pecuária de Minas Gerais), the largest federation of agriculture and livestock sector in the country, with the FCJ Group, the largest venture building network in Latin America.

Traditionally promoting Investorday, CVB was able to learn about the startup's operations and work began. “We really liked Dominus Soli’s proposal with the pioneering spirit of the Spray Plan and we noticed that it is very consistent with what we are looking for. We will surely reap good results together”, celebrates Leonardo Dias, CEO of NovoAgro.

With Spray Plan, it is possible to map, register and select protection zones (such as vegetable gardens, homes and spaces with animals) and plan areas to be treated. It is also possible to check the desirable climatic conditions, track the operations carried out and eliminate socio-environmental impacts, without harming the plantation. In this sense, the technology selects and removes from the route places that can be impacted by the agrochemical, such as houses and rivers, as well as avoiding repeated locations.

The software developed by Dominus Soli increases the effectiveness of product coverage, from 75% to 96% of the treated area, as well as detects and adjusts technical standards in crop treatments, minimizing losses. The company exceeds 6 million hectares analyzed, in different crops from different regions.

“More than a program, we developed a consultancy that links our service to optimization and improvements, avoiding waste in the field. The tool provides control, but with consultancy we offer intelligence and parameters to our partners, pointing out flaws and teaching them how to correct them”, points out Antônio Loures, CEO of Dominus Soli. The businessman also highlights that the maps used are dynamic and the graphics are simple to understand, with control that can be done using a cell phone.

In a growing trend, Dominus Soli has expanded 120% in the last three years. In 2019, the company went through the TechStart Agro Digital acceleration program, carried out by EMBRAPA (Brazilian Agricultural Research Company) Informática Agropecuária and Venture HUB and received the Bridges for Innovation Award in recognition of its performance, bringing more precise techniques to the market. The company has solid partners, such as Usina Alta Mogiana, in São Joaquim da Barra (SP), Aplimax and Semeagro, in the Barretos region (SP), where it provides assistance and consultancy.

Dominus Soli is updating the Spray Plan and will soon bring a new version, as well as an application to facilitate control. To achieve this, the startup is undergoing a proof of concept with a large company in the sector, thanks to the connections brought by NovoAgro Ventures, to later be scaled. “Being alongside NovoAgro is essential at this time. We need smart money, that is, intelligence, network and restructuring, to be able to move forward”, concludes Antônio Loures, CEO of Dominus Soli.
