Bayer highlights weed management at the Show Rural Coopavel 2026
Company highlights Xtendimax 2 and Convintro Duo for soybeans.
Pretec Technology, developed by PI AgSciences – a company that incorporated Plant Health Care (PHC) – will be one of the highlights of the 29th Summer Technology Show, promoted by the ABC Foundation on February 25th and 26th in Ponta Grossa (PR). The event brings together rural producers, researchers, and technical consultants to present solutions aimed at increasing the productivity and profitability of soybean and corn crops.
During the event, PI AgSciences will present technologies focused on plant protection and sustainable management, with an emphasis on controlling foliar diseases, combating nematodes, and stimulating crop development. The company is a pioneer in offering solutions that allow plants to respond selectively only to harmful microorganisms, preserving the beneficial soil microbiota.
Among the technologies showcased at the fair are Teikko, Saori, and HPlant, which are part of the Pretec platform and have been used in different producing regions of the country.
Considered one of the main technological showcases in Southern Brazil, the Summer Technology Showcase reaches its 29th edition, bringing together more than 5 participants at the Technology Dissemination Center (CDE) of the ABC Foundation, in Ponta Grossa. The program combines technical content and practical demonstrations to assist farmers in making decisions for the 2025/26 harvest.
For nematode management, PI AgSciences presents Teikko, a sustainable biochemical nematicide based on peptides for seed treatment. The technology works by inhibiting nematode development in roots, reducing the population of these parasites in the soil without compromising the microbiota.
Data from the Brazilian Society of Nematology indicate that, in the next ten years, losses caused by nematodes could reach R$ 870 billion, equivalent to the loss of a harvest every decade. In this context, responsible control of these organisms is considered essential for the sustainability of production systems.
Trials conducted over the last three growing seasons at different research stations have shown that Teikko reduced nematode infestation by an amount equivalent to or greater than that of standard biological nematicides, with an average productivity increase of up to 6,4 sacks per hectare.
Another technology presented is Saori, the only fungicide registered for seed treatment with an effect on soybean foliar diseases. The HPlant bioactivator stimulates the plant's defense system, contributing to greater resilience against climatic stresses and to the expression of the crop's productive potential.
According to the company, the results obtained represent average productivity and may vary depending on the region, weather conditions, and agronomic and environmental factors.
“Having a presence at this major technological showcase alongside the ABC Foundation is very important, especially because we are close to Paraná's producers, delivering proven technologies that promote consistent productivity gains,” says Juliano Duarte, PI AgSciences' commercial and technical manager for the region.
