Philip Morris Brasil (PMB) will present the results of 15 years of Leaf Brasil at Expoagro Afubra 2026. The operation marked the company's vertical integration and boosted the modernization of tobacco production in the South of the country. The booth will feature a timeline of the initiative's trajectory, from its implementation to recent advancements, focusing on technologies adopted by integrated families.

Among the highlights, the company will showcase its loose-leaf bale sales model. This practice has increased agility, optimized labor use, and facilitated delivery logistics. Another point highlighted involves the widespread use of continuous-load kilns, with gains in curing standards and energy efficiency on farms.

PMB will also showcase sustainability projects conducted in the Southern region. These projects include initiatives focused on renewable energy, combating deforestation, water resource management, and biodiversity conservation.

One of the programs presented at the fair involves the Auéra Project, in partnership with Embrapa Clima Temperado. The initiative promotes sustainability on integrated properties with a focus on biodiversity conservation. The work has already made it possible to identify areas of native forest with endangered fauna species and to support environmental restoration actions in the Pampa and Atlantic Forest biomes.

Another highlight is the Water Protector program, developed in partnership with the National Water and Basic Sanitation Agency (ANA). The program brings together 117 producers in the preservation of 138 springs and the conservation of 242 hectares of native forest.

The Organic Backyards project works with vulnerable urban and rural communities in southern Brazil and Uruguay. The initiative promotes organic fruit and vegetable orchards, featuring more than 20 species, and strengthens food security and productive diversification for families.
