Higher credit costs put pressure on soybean producers in Mato Grosso.
Imea report points to greater participation of the financial system and a reduction in the use of public resources.
Petrobras announced the shipment of 3 m³ of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to distributors operating at Tom Jobim International Airport. This volume corresponds to one day's consumption at airports in Rio de Janeiro state. The company is the first national producer of this fuel to receive sustainability certification from ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization).
SAF replaces conventional aviation kerosene without requiring aircraft or infrastructure modifications. The technology allows for an immediate reduction in emissions. According to Petrobras, the product results from the co-processing of vegetable raw materials with mineral kerosene. The process reduces carbon intensity.
President Magda Chambriard states that the national offering anticipates compliance with CORSIA (Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation), an international program that requires the increasing use of sustainable fuels in international flights starting in 2027. In Brazil, domestic flights will also adopt SAF (Sustainable Fuels) in accordance with the guidelines of the Future Fuel Law.
Petrobras uses technical corn oil or soybean oil as raw materials. The company projects a reduction of up to 87% in net CO₂ emissions in the renewable fraction. Reduc, in Rio de Janeiro, produced the initial batch. The unit has authorization from the ANP (National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels) to incorporate up to 1,2% of renewable raw material. Revap has already tested the co-processing route. Replan and Regap are expected to start production in 2026.
