Concept symbolizes energy transformation, reinforcing the CNH Industrial brand's commitment to using alternative fuels and preserving the environment
A dairy farmer in the Castro region, Dowie Groenwold is discerning. For years he has been observing the behavior of cultivars in the field and carrying out bromatological analyzes before defining what will make up the animals' diet. “Having a quality hybrid is a decisive factor in getting the most out of milk production,” he says. Always looking for new heights, Groenwold attracted attention in this year's off-season by obtaining a yield well above average, with the precocious 2A521. “The hybrid reached 82 tons per hectare and demonstrated a high concentration of nutrients in dairy conversion.”
Always attentive to the choice of seed, the harvest point, the cutting height and appropriate management, Lucas Rabbers from Paraná also achieved above-average results in milk production with the 2A521 hybrid, reaching 70 tons of silage per hectare.
Both in milk and beef production, corn silage presents a good volume of grain and green mass, fermentation quality, high energy value and acceptance by animals due to its easy digestibility. “An important tip when planning is to count on the support of a technician who will evaluate the specific hybrid for the producer’s geographic coverage, taking into account microclimate, soil type, water stress and pressure from pests and diseases”, emphasizes the leader of Forseed Marketing, Aldenir Sgarbossa. “Today, the combination of biotechnology, genetics and management allows us to reach levels of production and silage quality never imagined years ago,” he says.
Antonio Francisco Milan is another producer from Paraná celebrating the result of the investment. On the property, in Teixeira Soares, he obtained 81,5 tons of silage with the early FS620PWU for high investment. “The ideal is to check whether the hybrid has the capacity to provide productivity with stability and health, that is, to deliver results on all fronts”, he concludes.
