Orion opens new unit and quadruples manufacturing area in Pompeii

One of the leaders in professional equipment for applying planting furrows, Orion Tecnologia e Sistemas Agrícolas Ltda continually prepares for new projects and, throughout its 15 years of history, invests to guarantee producers the best products and services. This Friday (16/07), the company opens a new manufacturing plant in Pompeia (SP) and expands its factory four times with the aim of serving this expanding market even better. “The inauguration of this new structure marks the beginning of a new cycle, for which ORION has been preparing for years, and we want to actively participate in this important moment in Brazilian and global agriculture”, is proud of Ricardo Rodrigues da Cunha, founder and director -president of ORION, when speaking optimistically about the market for applying biological products in the planting furrow.

Over the more than 50 years working in this segment, Ricardo Cunha has always seen potential in the market, as long as there is great respect and concern for the environment and, through its improvement and study, as well as the commitment of its employees and partners , managed to reach higher levels. “Being leaders in professional equipment for applying planting furrows is a consequence of the intense work of always doing the best for agriculture and the environment we live in”, he emphasizes.

Thus, even during the pandemic, and with the agro segment in full activity, the company maintained its growth and investments in infrastructure and people, which led to this special moment. “Everything has been done based on a very careful analysis and investments are made to support the significant increase in the organic products market”, comments Alexandre Santiago, the company's administrative and financial director.

Continuously concerned with bringing the best product to the market, ORION has further strengthened its partnerships in all areas of activity. With a strong presence throughout Brazil, the company also exports to Latin American countries, such as Paraguay, Argentina, Uruguay, Ecuador, Colombia and Bolivia, and has plans for longer flights, such as in the USA and South Africa: “We are structuring to effectively and quickly train all our partners and customers”, comments Eng. José Tonon Junior, the company's marketing director, informing that today the R&D structure has a team that, in addition to the mechanical and production engineering group, has agronomists, biologists and specialists in precision agriculture who work together to bring to the producer the best machine and all the knowledge necessary to manage the crop.

History

ORION, as an ideal of life, emerged more than half a century ago, from an idea of ​​applying liquid products to control soil pests in soybean crops in the planting furrow, but it was officially founded in 2006.

Today it is a business group, which in addition to ORION itself, has CYGNI (dedicated to remote sensing services), CYGNILab (nematology laboratory, for identification and quantification of nematodes), DOA (Agronomic Operations Division) and WEZEN (transport and logistics), all led by the Honorato and Maria Emília Rodrigues da Cunha Foundation, the company's institutional and research arm, headquartered at Fazenda Bom Retiro, in Quintana/SP. The company continues to invest in experimental and production areas and recently acquired an area in Boa Vista/RO, aiming to develop technological development projects in that region of Brazil. The inauguration of the new unit takes place on the occasion of the 15th anniversary celebrations and also the official announcement of the partnership with BIOTROP, a company specialized in the development and production of biological products. On this occasion, ORION and BIOTROP present the BIOPONTOS Program to the market, to facilitate producers' access to the best technology for applying biological products in the planting furrow.
