Orion, a global leader in the application of biological products in the planting furrow, has just launched the brand's exclusive Orion ExtremeJet applicator nozzle. With pioneering technology, this line of nozzles promises to revolutionize the application of bioinputs in the soil, increasing the efficiency of Orion equipment applications from 98% to 99%. This advancement provides more precise and effective delivery of live and viable microorganisms into the soil. The new product is being presented by the company during the Show Rural Coopavel, which will take place from February 10 to 14 in Cascavel (PR).

The Orion ExtremeJet nozzle is a unique product developed in partnership with Orion and world-renowned TeeJet Technologies through an intensive four-year research and development process. Manufactured in the United States, the nozzles are made from ground 303 stainless steel, which ensures that the fluid flowing through the nozzle passes over a completely smooth, pore-free surface. This results in even greater preservation of the microorganisms applied, ensuring that they reach the soil with maximum viability and efficiency.

The main feature of ExtremeJet is its solid and uniform jet, which completely eliminates drift losses. This feature allows for precise and waste-free application, meeting the needs of farmers seeking maximum performance in the use of bioinputs, in addition to ensuring that microorganisms are not harmed during application.

Greater efficiency and accuracy

Orion, which is already a global leader in the bio-input application equipment sector, knows that precision in application is essential. “The Orion ExtremeJet nozzle stands out for its ability to adapt the behavior of the jet at different pressures, maintaining high uniformity and jet precision. The ideal pressure range, which varies between 11 and 15 PSI, ensures that the nozzle delivers an application without losses and with the guarantee that the microorganisms will arrive alive and viable”, says Orion’s CEO and Director of Research and Development, Ricardo Rodrigues da Cunha.

Another important difference is the variety of flow rates or calibers that the ExtremeJet line offers. This makes it possible to meet different conditions of planting speed, application rate or even spacing between rows. This way, the application will be carried out at the ideal pressure range.

“With the launch of the Orion ExtremeJet nozzles, Orion reaffirms its commitment to innovation and the constant search for solutions that optimize the application of bioinputs in the soil. We are excited to continue to lead the market with products that make a difference and allow us to maximize our customers’ results,” says Orion Vice President Alexandre Santiago.

Starting February 12, 2025, the Orion ExtremeJet 01 and 015 nozzles will be standard on the company’s Hunter line. The remaining calibers will be available starting March 20, 2025, allowing customers to choose the right caliber for their needs.

“The launch of the Orion ExtremeJet nozzles represents an important step for Orion, which continues to stand out for its innovation and commitment to sustainability and agricultural efficiency. With this new technology, the company reinforces its leadership role in the field of bioinput application in the soil, delivering increasingly precise and profitable solutions for farmers, and directly contributing to the sustainable development of global agriculture,” says Rodrigo Alandia, Marketing and New Business Director of the Orion Group.

global expansion

With nearly six decades of history, Orion has established itself as the largest Brazilian manufacturer of equipment for applying bio-inputs to soil and is a global reference in the sector. Founded in 1967, the company has stood out for the quality and innovation of its products. Orion recently expanded its international operations with a new unit in Paraguay, which supplies the Mercosur market, and another in Leiria, Portugal, focused on supplying the European market.

Additionally, Orion is investing heavily in its expansion with a US$10 million investment in a new factory in Quintana (SP), just 14 km from Pompéia, the company’s headquarters. The new facility will significantly increase the company’s production capacity to meet the growing demand in Brazil and abroad, preparing Orion to further expand its global presence, with the United States as one of the next destinations for its expansion.
