At the 2024 edition of the Brazilian Nematology Congress, Orion is bringing an innovation that promises to transform input management in agriculture. The company is presenting, until Thursday (5), in Foz do Iguaçu (PR), the Double Shot technology, used to simultaneously apply biological and chemical products without compromising the effectiveness of any of the inputs.

As explained by Rodrigo Alandia (in the video), the brand's marketing and new business director, the innovation stands out for its use of two independent hydraulic circuits, which allows the biological product to be applied to the seeds, while the chemical is deposited next to the fertilizer or on the cutting disc, at a greater depth. This technique avoids contact between the products, preserving the viability of the biological agents and ensuring the efficiency of the chemical treatment.

In addition to the simultaneous application of inputs, the technology offers other significant technical advantages for farmers. The system allows for localized and variable-rate application, which results in fewer chemicals and solid fertilizers being used. This approach optimizes the use of available resources, promoting more sustainable agriculture with a lower environmental impact.

The system also stands out for its ability to increase agricultural productivity. Studies show that, when used in co-inoculation with biological inputs, the technology can increase the supply of nitrogen in the soil and provide productivity gains of 8% to 16%. This combination of features makes Double Shot a complete solution for maximizing efficiency and sustainability in the application of inputs in the furrow.

With the presentation of the system at the Congress, Orion reaffirms its commitment to innovation and sustainability in agriculture, offering solutions that combine efficiency, safety and care for the environment.
