Nutrien opened a fertilizer mixer in Araxá, Minas Gerais, an important production center for Agribusiness, which has great influence in Alto do Parnaíba and Triângulo Mineiro. This is an important step for the company in the region, which aims to offer a complete solution to its farmer customers, integrating the offer of fertilizers and specialties with the pesticide, seed and nutritional platforms and its product portfolio. Nutrien already offered fertilizers from another unit of the company and the investment in a new one brings greater proximity and agility in service, maintaining the quality guidelines of its line of fertilizers and specialties.
The new mixer is part of the company's growth plan in Brazil, announced by the global CEO who cites the country as a region for investment. The equipment has a capacity of over 100 thousand tons. In addition, Nutrien invested in machinery for the application of bulk fertilizers that suits the needs of many producers in the region, and offers soil survey and analysis services through the Nutriscription platform and area mapping using a digital tool known as Echelon.
Nutrien has already been present in the city of Minas Gerais for four years with an input service center (store). In this new location, it built a modern plant for the formulation of fertilizers and a store with a structure to store seeds, pesticides and nutrients, located in an area of more than 10 thousand m².
According to the general director of Nutrien Ag. Solutions retail, Carlos Brito, this investment recognizes the support received by customers and also reinforces the importance of the region for the economy of Minas Gerais. “In addition to guaranteeing customers high quality products, it will also ensure agility in the delivery of fertilizers at the ideal times for the different crops, reinforcing Nutrien’s commitment to guaranteeing a complete solution in inputs and essential services so that farmers can produce more and more. more”, highlights Brito.
Brito also highlights that Nutrien continues working to expand the company in Brazil. “The opening of this unit is part of the company's expansion plan for 2020, which also includes opening two more units in the second half of the year, in the State of Goiás, in Cristalina and Morrinhos, which are important centers of national agriculture”, concludes the director- general retail Nutrien Ag.
