Corn crop failure materializes after frost in São Paulo
Total corn production in São Paulo, including estimates for the first harvest, will be 3,27 million tons
Nutrien today announces the agreement to acquire Bio Rural, an agricultural inputs retailer in Mato Grosso do Sul, further expanding its presence in Brazil. The new acquisition boosts Nutrien's strategy to transform Brazilian agricultural retail with a platform that offers integrated solutions to farmers. Bio Rural is located in an important agricultural region that offers excellent prospects for expanding soybean and corn production.
"Acquisitions like this boost our value and support our expansion goals by increasing the number of physical stores and consultants, which allows us to better serve Brazilian farmers with an integrated platform of agricultural solutions", says André Dias, president of Nutrien for Latin America.
Nutrien intends to combine Bio Rural's knowledge and experience with the company's global skills to offer the best services and products. The total revenue associated with Bio Rural is approximately R$200 million.

Now let's add to this our business model, which combines experience centers, specialized consultants, a broad and complete portfolio and a digital platform, in a integrated to provide information and add value to our customers", concludes Dias.
Completion of the transaction is subject to approval by the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) and other usual closing conditions.
