LDC releases financial results for the first half of 2025
The group recorded volume growth and increased investments in grains, oilseeds and foods aimed at the end consumer.
New Holland has won two silver medals at the Agritechnica Innovation Awards 2025. The fair takes place in November in Hannover, Germany.
The awards recognized the Corn Header Automation and ForageCam technologies. Both automate key harvesting processes. They reduce manual intervention, increase productivity, and lower fuel consumption. These solutions are geared toward sustainable agriculture.
The Corn Header Automation system brings artificial intelligence and advanced automation to combine corn headers. It operates with sensors that automatically adjust settings based on crop conditions.
Onboard technologies regulate the distance between the header plates, the speed of the dehusking rollers, and the machine's angle of attack. This allows real-time adjustments based on humidity, plant condition, and terrain variations. Threshing sensors monitor losses and adjust parameters. The combine's ground speed is synchronized with the header's processing to prevent losses and maximize yield.
The solution caters to operators of all skill levels. It reduces harvest losses, improves performance, and cuts fuel costs. Eliminates manual adjustments, saves time, and ensures consistent performance.
ForageCam introduces intelligent automation to forage harvesting. A camera system installed in the discharge chute analyzes the material flow in real time and detects grain fragments. The goal is to ensure complete grinding of the corn kernels used in silage.
The system calculates a processing quality index—the Kernel Processing Score—and, based on this indicator, automatically adjusts the machine's parameters. Adjustments to the grain processing unit now occur continuously, during operation.
This technology ensures silage with better nutritional utilization for animals. It also promotes higher-quality milk and meat production. It replaces time-consuming manual measurements with automatic, immediate adjustments.
ForageCam will be available on New Holland forage harvesters from September 2026.
