New Holland has announced the update of its T5 Dual Command tractor range, which includes five models ranging from 80 to 117 hp, powered by 36-liter, four-cylinder FPT F3,6 engines. The changes include a new design and additional features, with a focus on increasing productivity and operator comfort, according to the company.

According to New Holland, the T5 Dual Command tractors now offer a wider range of rear tire options and two front axle choices: a standard axle for lighter duty and narrow applications, and a new HD axle for heavier duty loaders and intensive field operations. The company also highlighted the SuperSteer™ axle option, which allows a 76° steering angle, increasing maneuverability on tight bends and in farmyards.

New Holland says that with the standard front axle, steering capability under load has been increased by 20%, enabling faster manoeuvring. The HD axle, meanwhile, increases gross vehicle weight to 7.000kg. When fitted with 38-inch rear tyres, T5 tractors offer an overall height of under 2,67m and a ground clearance of 480mm, which can reduce the risk of crop damage and facilitate access to buildings.

Additionally, rear lift capacity has been increased by 7% to 4.700 kg, while a new 82 l/min hydraulic pump provides 30% more hydraulic flow, speeding up implement use and loading cycles.

New technologies and improvements in comfort

The new T5 Dual Command models maintain the Dual Command 24F/24R transmission, with four speeds, three ranges and a two-level gear change (powershift), as well as an electronic reverser.

New Holland has also introduced new features such as automatic differential lock and automatic four-wheel drive engagement to make maneuvering on borders easier. In addition, the tractors now feature a front power take-off (PTO) with wet discs, which the company says promises greater versatility and comfort.

Externally, the new T5 tractors feature redesigned front and side grilles, as well as new decals that follow the pattern of other machines from the brand. The exhaust has been repositioned in a "U" shape, allowing for an unobstructed forward view. The company also says that the work lights and headlights have been improved, with an optional LED light package to improve visibility and safety.

T5 Dual Command models now feature Comfort Ride mechanical cabin suspension, designed for a smoother ride. The instrument cluster has been updated with a revised digital design, making information easier to read.

In response to the growing demand for precision farming technologies, New Holland is offering the possibility of equipping the new T5 models with telemetry and a full suite of precision technologies, such as autopilot, the IntelliView 12 terminal and ISOBUS Class 2 implement connection. The company also highlights real-time monitoring of machines, including location and operating status, as well as remote viewing of data and agronomic data layers through the New Holland FieldOps platform.

New Holland has announced that the first units of the new T5 Dual Command range will be available at dealerships in late 2024.

In Brazil, New Holland sells the T5 line with the T5 110S model. Check out its features and compare it with other models.
