From January 7th to 9th, at CVale Field Day, in Palotina (PR), Morgan Sementes e Biotecnologia presents three new corn hybrids that reinforce its portfolio for the 2020 harvest. The event opens the brand's product launch schedule this year and also presents the most suitable materials for high-investment crops in western Paraná, such as 30A37.

“Morgan's leadership in the second harvest in Paraná was guaranteed by efficient and highly productive products, developed with the best genetics and which have the most modern technology against caterpillars”, explains the brand's market development manager for the South region, Vinícius Leonel. “The launch of new products and strong technical assistance with farmers are two of Morgan’s strengths,” he highlights.

Recommended for commercial grain production in high-investment crops, the launches of these materials meet the needs of rural producers at different stages of planting and climate and soil conditions. In addition to being tolerant to water stress, they are especially resistant to the so-called stunt complex, composed of mollicutes and viruses that have the corn leafhopper and aphid as vectors.

The launches include two early cycle hybrids and a super early one, the MG408. The material was developed to meet the needs of farmers in terms of high productivity and as an option for late planting in the second harvest.

Morgan also presents the MG593, which has wide adaptability to different planting conditions and high productivity associated with stalk quality. Another launch is MG618, with its pronounced stay green and intense yellow-orange grains.

Morgan hybrids

For five consecutive years, the Morgan 30A37 hybrid has been the standout material in the Paraná off-season. The product has established itself by combining grain quality and high productivity with rusticity, which has meant productive stability and reduced the risks inherent to the second corn harvest.

All of the brand's products are now available with PowerCore Ultra biotechnology, which has a quadruple action of insecticidal proteins, reducing the chance of simultaneous resistance of the main pests that attack corn crops. Two other proteins confer tolerance to the herbicides glyphosate and glufosinate ammonium, which provides control of a broad spectrum of weeds and allows the crop to express its maximum productive potential. The technology is approved by the National Technical Biosafety Commission (CTNBio).
