Sinditrigo-PR – Wheat Industry Union in the State of Paraná, announces the holding of the Moatrigo milling workshop, scheduled for March 18, in Curitiba, at the Fiep Convention Center.

This year, the event is celebrating its fourth in-person edition and is already considered one of the main meetings of the milling sector in southern Brazil. Last year, there were around 350 participants, including executives, managers, employees and suppliers of the mills.

Moatrigo stands out for its targeted programming, designed to expand professional development in the wheat production chain, and as a unique opportunity for exchanging experiences and networking.

Paraná should import more

The president of Sinditrigo-PR, Daniel Kümmel, emphasizes the importance of the event given the scenario for the milling industry. He explains that, due to the substantial failure of the last harvest, mills in Paraná will need to import the largest volume of wheat in recent years, which could reach 1,7 million tons. The state has the largest milling park in Brazil, accounting for 30% of national production, with a milling potential of over 3,8 million tons.

“There are many challenges and, by bringing together representatives of the wheat industry in a major event, we are helping to promote improvements in the sector and providing opportunities for important discussions about the milling market and its dynamic behavior,” emphasizes Kümmel.

Registration for Moatrigo 2025 is now open and can be done on the official website (www.moatrigo.com).
