Michelin's Agropressure app helps with tire pressure adjustments
According to the company, the proper use of this technology can result in fuel savings of 8,39%, in addition to increasing efficiency by 17,5%.
The Ministers of Agriculture and Livestock, Carlos Fávaro, and Finance, Fernando Haddad, discussed issues related to Brazilian rural producers with the aim of seeking improvements for the sector.
The acquisition of precision agriculture machinery to assist small rural producers in recovering the profile of degraded soils, applying technology to automate processes, increasing productivity, acting in pest control, applying bioinputs and, above all, improving soils, was one of the points of the meeting held at the Ministry of Finance.
“It was a very productive meeting, with many significant advances for agriculture. And I am sure that, with the technical teams from the Ministry of Agriculture (Mapa) and the Treasury together, we will soon have good news for our producers,” said Minister Fávaro.
Measures to ease restrictions on access to rural credit were another topic discussed. With the National Monetary Council (CMN) resolution no. 5.081 of 2023, conditions were established for the granting of rural credit by financial agents.
Regarding support measures for Rio Grande do Sul producers, after the declaration of a state of emergency or public calamity recognized by the federal government from April 26 to July 31, 2024, solutions were discussed for small obstacles that exist in granting credit.
Minister Fávaro cited the amendment to Resolution No. 5.140/2024, published by CMN, which establishes the conditions, financial charges, deadlines and other regulatory standards for the financing lines made available with resources from the Social Fund's financial surplus.
The change published in Resolution No. 5.172/2024 is yet another improvement that includes agricultural cooperatives, rural producers, cereal producers and suppliers of agricultural inputs in the possibility of renegotiating debts.
According to the document, the georeferenced delimitation will not apply to working capital operations when contracted by rural producers, agricultural production cooperatives, cereal producers and suppliers of agricultural inputs, which are located in the affected municipalities of the state.
“We are working to ensure that producers have more peace of mind when carrying out the summer harvest, which is already underway,” concluded Fávaro.
