Minas Gerais Warehouses and Silos Company will be privatized

The Minas Gerais State Warehouses and Silos Company (Casemg) will be privatized. The initiative is part of the Federal government's strategy within the scope of the National Privatization Program. The privatization decision was taken by the Investment Partnership Program Council of the Presidency of the Republic, integrated by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Mapa).

The company's dissolution process will be coordinated by the Secretariat for Coordination and Governance of State Companies of the Ministry of Planning, Development and Management and will comply with the legal deadlines established by Law.

The Ministry of Finance, through its Attorney General's Office, will call a general meeting of shareholders to dissolve the company, appoint the liquidator, set the value of the liquidator's monthly remuneration, appoint the members of the Fiscal Council and set the deadline for the completion of the process.

The Company provides storage, drying, cleaning and grain marketing services, in addition to product sampling, phytosanitary treatment and rail transshipment in Minas Gerais.

Casemg was created by State Law No. 1.643/1957, of the state of Minas Gerais and federalized through the Company's Share Purchase and Sale Contact signed by Minas Gerais and the Union on January 28, 2000.
