Tecnoshow Comigo 2025 generates more than R$ 10 billion
Historic edition brought together 695 exhibitors, more than 140 thousand visitors and consolidates itself as one of the biggest events in agriculture
Minas Gerais' agribusiness exports recorded their best performance in the historical series in the first quarter of 2025, reaching US$ 4,5 billion in revenue and consolidating the sector as the state's largest exporter, with a 45,3% share – surpassing mining.
March was the best month in the historical series alone, and the highlight was egg exports, which grew 266% in value and 153% in volume, driven by external demand in the face of the avian influenza outbreak in the United States. The protein was especially in demand by countries such as Chile and the United States itself.
Coffee maintained its leadership as the main exported product, totaling US$ 2,9 billion in revenue and accounting for 64% of Minas Gerais' agricultural sales abroad. There were also significant advances in meat exports: beef increased 19% in revenue and 8% in volume, driven by demand from the US; chicken and pork also grew, totaling more than 57 thousand tons exported together.
Despite the good overall figures, sectors such as sugar and alcohol and the soy complex faced downturns, with drops of up to 50% in value, reflecting the drop in international prices. Even so, the quarter's performance indicates a strategic position for Minas Gerais in the agro-export scenario, with shipments to 150 countries and growth prospects driven by a favorable global situation.
According to the Secretary of Agriculture, Thales Fernandes, the sanitary differential of Minas Gerais products and competitive prices have been opening doors abroad. He also emphasizes that Brazil can benefit from trade tensions between major powers, such as the United States and China.
