The Mercedes-Benz Virtual Star Online Showroom, the first digital platform for commercial vehicles in Brazil, completed its second year of activities this May. Over this period, 3,385 million visits were recorded, consolidating this alternative way of serving the brand's customers.
“This volume accumulated over two years means an average of 4.600 visits per day”, says Roberto Leoncini, vice-president of Sales and Marketing Trucks and Buses at Mercedes-Benz do Brasil. “As a result, Star Online was used in negotiations that led to the sale of approximately 700 vehicles through our Dealer Network.”
“A pioneering and innovative solution in our segment, the Virtual Showroom is increasingly consolidated in the market. There are already more than 9 thousand registered customers”, continues Roberto Leoncini. “With this dynamic online channel, customers can choose between the virtual service or the in-person service they are used to, depending on their preference or needs.”
The Star Online Virtual Showroom encompasses the sale of new trucks and buses, used vehicles from SelecTrucks, parts and services, in addition to offering financing and insurance from Banco Mercedes-Benz and plans from the Mercedes-Benz Consortium. The website has been redesigned, aiming to make consultations simpler and more practical, facilitating and speeding up the daily lives of those who visit and seek business through this channel.
The digital platform includes the brand's entire line of trucks, with the Accelo families (light and medium segment), Atego (medium, semi-heavy and extra-heavy), Axor and Actros (extra-heavy on and off-road vehicles) and Arocs (extra-heavy 8x4 off-road -road for mining and heavy construction). Likewise, it highlights the broad portfolio of buses, with all urban and highway models and also for charter operations, school transport and tourism.
Visitors also have access to the brand's diverse portfolio of parts and services, which are available through dealers. Such as the three lines of parts (original, remanufactured and Alliance), Maintenance Plans, Extended Warranty, fleet management and telemetry system Fleetboard and applications for the driver, such as Mercedes Club and Liga na Estrada.
Visitors will find a specific area for the portfolio of parts and accessories from the Alliance Truck Parts line. The same goes for the Mercedes Club loyalty and rewards program and personalized item offers from the Mercedes-Benz Collection – all in one place to provide the best shopping experience for customers.
Mercedes-Benz is developing new services to further enhance the Virtual Showroom. Soon there will be even more offers related to the transport ecosystem for customers.
“With these improvements and new features we want to provide customers with the best experience when purchasing products and services within the transport ecosystem”, says Roberto Leoncini. “In other words, we want customers to find everything they need within our own brand.”
By accessing Star Online, the customer is taken to dealerships across the country, quickly and online. They can access this platform via computer, tablet or smartphone at any time or day. On the screen, you have everything you need. In addition to sales of vehicles, parts and services, it is also possible to simulate financing and obtain insurance quotes from Banco Mercedes-Benz. Everything is very practical, simple and quick, to make your daily life easier.
Star Online directs the customer to the closest resellers, where they are served by the team they already know and have a relationship with. New customers feel comfortable doing business, even if they don't yet know the salespeople, in addition to being assured of the safety of being in a Mercedes-Benz environment.
“This brand solution meets the growing demands of customers for business via the Internet. The Virtual Showroom is the result of Mercedes-Benz's advancement in the field of innovation, within the concept of dealers and customers 4.0, as is already the case with our vehicles, services and factories, which are also digital. With this, the Company reaffirms its commitment to the customer experience with the brand, aiming for satisfaction throughout the entire journey of purchasing and using its vehicles”, concludes Roberto Leoncini.
