Coffee, sugar cane, cotton and corn are responsible for the good performance
Mercedes-Benz, in partnership with the dealer Ingá Veículos, is participating in the 2nd edition of Transpoeste – Western Paraná Business and Transport Fair, which will be held from May 18th to 20th at the Cascavel Convention and Events Center, in Paraná. Aimed at businesspeople, fleet owners, freelancers and professionals in the cargo transport and logistics sector, the event is organized by Sintropar – Union of Cargo Transport and Logistics Companies of Western Paraná.
On display at the Mercedes-Benz stand are the Actros 2651 6x4, Actros 2648 6x4 and Axor 2544 6x2 engines and the Atego 2426 6x2 model. Trucks from the Actros and Axor lines are recommended for various agribusiness activities, such as transporting grains, sugar cane and wood, in road and off-road operations. Atego semi-heavy trucks are ideal for road and urban transport and logistics.
Paraná is a strong grain producer in Brazil – in corn, it is the 1st state in the South and the 2nd in Brazil; in soybeans, 1st in the region and 3rd in the country; In wheat, it is among the largest producers in Brazil along with Rio Grande do Sul. Still in the agribusiness chain, Paraná is a large agro-industrial hub, standing out as a producer and exporter of chicken and pork. It is also the largest producer of sugar cane in the South region.
“In agribusiness, as in several other sectors, Mercedes-Benz trucks are recognized for their strength, excellent performance, high robustness, resistance and productivity”, says Jefferson Ferrarez, director of Sales and Marketing Trucks at Mercedes-Benz do Brasil. “They also stand out for their high load capacity, reduced fuel consumption and lower operating and maintenance costs, in addition to the high standard of comfort and well-being on board the cabins. In this way, they ensure profitability for customers' transport and logistics businesses, as well as driver satisfaction. These are the differences that we will highlight to customers and visitors during Transpoeste”.
The brand's portfolio includes trucks for all agribusiness transport and logistics activities. Several models of the Actros and Axor extra-heavy lines are suitable for transporting grains, sugar cane and wood, connecting field production with storage and distribution centers and also with ports. The Mercedes-Benz truck line also offers several semi-heavy, medium and light models from the Atego and Accelo families. They complete the logistics cycle by working in road and urban transport, also standing out in support services in the field.
Ingá Veículos provides service at the stand, doing business and promoting the wide portfolio of parts and services, such as three lines of parts (genuine, remanufactured and Alliance), maintenance plans, MB Uptime, Fleetboard fleet management system, financing from Mercedes-Benz Bank (CDC, BNDES Finame, Operating Leasing, Leasing and insurance products), attractive plans from the Mercedes-Benz Consortium and offers from the SelecTrucks pre-owned vehicle unit.
The safest and most intelligent truck in the country, the Actros leaves the factory with 16 standard items of advanced technology:
“This proves that we always innovate when it comes to active safety, that is, preserving the life of the driver, the truck, the cargo and other people and vehicles on the roads. We thus reaffirm Mercedes-Benz’s commitment to the responsible transport ecosystem”, highlights Jefferson Ferrarez.
The Actros is a pioneer in the Brazilian market by innovating with MirrorCam, optionally available to customers. This digital camera system brings greater safety on the roads and in maneuvers, both on the roads and in the yards of companies and logistics centers.
Among the Actros' safety features, optional items include retarder auxiliary braking and an airbag for the driver, which reinforces the brand's top-of-the-line positioning as the safest truck in Brazil.
