Mato Grosso do Sul has 46 thousand hectares of soybeans harvested

The third week of the soybean harvesting operation ended with an area of ​​46 thousand hectares, in Mato Grosso do Sul, according to the Casa Rural Agriculture Bulletin, produced by Aprosoja/MS, Sistema Famasul and the State Government. The southern region has the most advanced harvest, with an average of 1,5%, while the center has 0,7% and the north has an average of 0,66%.

Until last Friday (3/2), the total harvested represents 1,2% of the planted area and the operation is 7,6 percentage points below the same period in the previous harvest.

According to the Mato Grosso do Sul Agribusiness Geographic Information System (SIGA-MS), all regions of the state are in full vegetative and reproductive phenological development, ranging from R1 to R8 and present good conditions in 93% of the areas.

The president of Aprosoja/MS, André Dobashi reinforces that, at this moment, the inspection and maintenance of machines is essential to avoid harvest losses. “It is essential that farmers carry out preventive maintenance in order to avoid operational failures and interruptions in activities on their crops. It is worth remembering that unregulated machinery loses efficiency and is subject to unexpected pauses, putting the quality of the grains at the point of harvest at risk,” he explained.

Based on the productive potential of the last five harvests in the state, the estimate is a productivity of 53,44 sc/ha and production of 12,3 million tons of grains.
