Master's scholarship in seed and seedling image analysis at USP

A FAPESP Master’s Scholarship is offered by the project “Non-destructive image analysis methods for seed quality assessment”, conducted at the Center for Nuclear Energy in Agriculture at the University of São Paulo (Cena-USP), in Piracicaba (SP). Registration closes on March 31, 2020.

The project is expected to find optical image patterns using modern techniques that allow the characterization of changes in the quality standards of carrot, tomato, jatropha and peanut seeds, as well as continuing the work that the group of researchers has been carrying out in recent years.

The opportunity is linked to the subproject “Relationship between chlorophyll fluorescence in germination and the physiological potential of soybean seeds”. Requirements are to have a degree in agronomy, biology or a related field, experience in research and a good level of English.
