Bayer bets on integration to accelerate agricultural innovation
The company combines breeding, gene editing, biotechnology, chemistry, and digital tools to increase gains in the field
Massey Ferguson unveiled its new N Series planter line for planting in narrow and split rows during the Farm Progress Show 2026 in the United States. The line combines factory-installed Precision Planting technologies with a modular platform, offering six configurations: 23-15, 24-15, 31-15, 32-15, 24-20, and 24-22.
According to the company, the project was developed to offer configuration flexibility and facilitate operation and maintenance, while maintaining features focused on precision in distribution and uniformity of plant emergence.
“Farmers want proven technology without unnecessary complexity,” said Forrest Francis, Tactical Marketing Manager for Planters at Massey Ferguson North America. “The N Series offers the performance producers need today, while giving them the flexibility to adapt as their operations grow. It’s about putting technology to work where it can make a significant difference, while keeping the planter simple to own, operate and maintain.”
Among the factory-installed features are the 20|20 Gen3, vSet2, vDrive, and DeltaForce technologies, which work on seed placement, planting depth control, and emergence uniformity.
The N Series also features two central seed hoppers, each with a capacity of 45 bushels, plus an option for up to 500 gallons of liquid fertilizer. The manual weight transfer system, controlled from the cab, allows for adjusting the load distribution according to field conditions.
The N-Series platform allows for the inclusion of optional technologies according to the producer's needs. These include WaveVision, SpeedTube, CleanSweep, EMHD, and Pump Stack.
According to Massey Ferguson, the goal is to allow planters to be upgraded over time without having to replace the entire machine. The line also features Heads Up planting units, lubrication-free operation, and simplified adjustments, in addition to not requiring subscriptions or unlocks to use the available features.
The N Series was one of the new products presented by Massey Ferguson at the AGCO booth, number 1002, during the Farm Progress Show. The space also featured updates to other machines from the brand, such as the MF 9S tractors, which received the Tractor Implement Management System (TIM) and the MF AutoHeadland.
Another highlight was the MF 5S line, which now features the Dyna-VT continuously variable transmission, in addition to new features for the Massey Ferguson double baler.
