AGCO Corporation has announced the Massey Ferguson 3 Series Specialty tractors for the North American market. The models are designed to meet the unique needs of wineries and orchards, offering compact yet powerful machines. There are seven models ranging from 75 to 115 horsepower (hp). The presentation takes place at the World Ag Expo, which runs until February 15th, in Tulare, California.
Kevin Lewallen, tactical marketing manager for Massey Ferguson North America, emphasized the centrality of the farmer in the design of each of the brand's products. He explained that the new series promises to be one of the most powerful, versatile and comfortable machines available on the market, aiming for productivity and savings for operations in wineries and orchards.
The MF 3 line includes models with 75, 95 and 115 hp in the "Specialty" (SP) version for wineries and orchards; 75, 95 and 105 hp models in the "Ground Effect" (GE) version, narrower and lower, for tunnels and fruit orchards; and a single 95 hp model in the "Vineyard" (VI) version, ideal for traditional wineries due to its narrowness.
The Vineyard version offers comfort for long working hours, with a cabin with a width of around one meter, designed to maneuver between narrow rows of vineyards. Its design allows for high power and torque at low engine speeds, maximizing efficiency and reducing noise levels.
Farmers can choose from several proven transmission options to customize the MF 3VI.95 and other models in the series to meet their specific needs in terms of ease of use, fuel economy and more.
The slightly wider Specialty version offers a reliable and simple tractor for operations seeking the best return on investment. The 75 hp models are equipped with a 3.4-liter 4-cylinder engine, while the higher power models use a 3.6-liter engine.
The Ground Effect version features models with an open platform, ideal for old wine grape and raisin wineries, combining narrow and low dimensions for maximum efficiency, less noise and fuel consumption.
Lewallen highlighted Massey Ferguson's worldwide reputation as a manufacturer of durable, easy-to-use agricultural equipment. He pointed out that the "Farmer-First" approach reaches a new market in North America with the MF 3 series, promising power, maneuverability, reliability, fast return on investment and lower environmental impact.
